Santa Barbara County’s Heat Clean Program is not issuing new vouchers right now. The County is taking applications for a waitlist in case new funding becomes available, and no reopening date has been announced.

How the Waitlist Works

Apply for the County waitlist: Apply on the County’s Heat Clean page to be placed on the waitlist if new funding becomes available.
Join our list: Leave your details in the form below. We’ll let you know as soon as vouchers reopen and help with your application.

If funding returns: Under the last program rules, you had to receive your voucher before installation began, and the installation had to be finished within 120 days of approval. We handle the installer paperwork.

Who the Program Covers

Under the program’s rules, you need to:

Live in Santa Barbara County
Have an existing wood-burning fireplace or stove
Replace it with an electric heating device (natural gas inserts are not eligible)
Work with an approved participating installer like Tubular George
